Questions, answered
Is Tidewatch free?
Yes. There is no sign-up, no wallet connection and no fee. You browse the data and deposit directly on the protocol you choose.
Where does the data come from?
Pools, APY and TVL come from DefiLlama Yields, which reads them on-chain. Audits and protocol age come from DefiLlama’s protocol list. Our server picks up DefiLlama’s latest snapshot every 10 minutes, so what you see is never more than a few minutes behind their data.
Does Tidewatch ever hold my funds?
No. Tidewatch is read-only. We never ask you to connect a wallet or sign anything.
What does “Low risk” actually mean?
It means the pool scores at least 75 out of 100 and the protocol has a public audit. It lowers the odds of a bad outcome, it doesn’t remove them. See the full method.
Why does the APY differ from what the protocol shows?
APY moves constantly, and protocols value reward tokens in different ways. We show DefiLlama’s latest reading next to the 30-day average, which is a steadier guide.
How do alerts work?
Tap 🔔 next to any pool in the table. It opens our Telegram bot with that pool picked, and you choose the APY level to watch. We check every 15 minutes and message you when it crosses. On the stock tracker, 🔔 alerts you when a token drifts from its share price. Send /list in the bot to see or remove alerts.
Do protocols pay to be listed or ranked?
No. Every pool on the chain is included, and the order is set only by the column you sort by. If we ever add sponsored spots, they’ll be clearly marked and kept outside the table.
